Honoring Those Who Gave of Themselves

On Veterans Day, we pause to honor the men and women who have given their time, their strength, and often their peace of mind in service to this country. Their stories don’t end when the uniform comes off — for many, that’s where the hardest chapter begins.

At All Good, we’re especially mindful of that truth because one of our own — co-founder Sean — has lived it. Sean is an Army Veteran who served on Army ships all the way from Panama to Kuwait in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Sean was an Olympic swimming hopeful — a high school star with a full scholarship and a dream. That dream vanished overnight when his high school swim coach caught him smoking Cannabis. The scholarship disappeared, and with it, everything he thought defined him.

Searching for direction, he followed in the long family tradition of service — his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all served, reaching back to World War II — and joined the U.S. Army.

At the time, the USA Army swim team, promised Sean a spot on the team, giving him home he may one day, swim his way back toward the Olympics. But the same year he enlisted, funding for the Army’s swim team was cut.

The road ahead was grueling — physically, mentally, spiritually. But it was also where Sean discovered the resilience that would later define his life in Cannabis.

After leaving the Army, Sean returned home with scars that didn’t show on the surface. Like so many veterans, the transition to civilian life was anything but easy. He set out across the country in a rickshaw with his dog Cooper, searching for healing, balance, and belonging.

For Sean, healing came through Cannabis and companionship with his dog Cooper.
Cannabis eased the pain, grounded his spirit, and helped him reconnect with purpose. His dog Cooper reminded him that healing doesn’t happen alone — it happens in partnership, with patience and unconditional love. It was during this time Sean became a permaculture farmer and truly began to understand the medicine and purpose behind growing your own Cannabis.
