Overview: Seeking a full-time Budtender with retail experience. Must be friendly, reliable, quick-thinking, computer savvy, and compliance-focused. POS and customer service skills required. Must be available for evening closing shifts (M-TH 10pm Close, F-Sat 12am close).

Description: We’re hiring a full-time Budtender apx 36 hours per week with strong customer service skills and experience in either cannabis retail or fashion retail and a strong attention to detail.You should be personable, professional, a quick thinker, and thrive in high-pressure, high-volume environments. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about cannabis, understands the importance of compliance, and is VERY comfortable with technology and point-of-sale (POS) systems. All applicants must be 21 and up.

As a Customer Experience Associate or “Budtender” at our licensed New York State Retail Dispensary, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive, efficient, and educational experience for our patrons. You will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting cannabis products, offering product knowledge, maintaining a clean and organized retail environment, and assist the floor manager with restock of products. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cannabis, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide well-informed product recommendations based on customer preferences, needs, and desired effects.
• Educate customers on the various strains, products, and consumption methods.
• Role will require work at front door, at point of sale, and on the sales floor.
• Product Knowledge:
• Stay informed about the latest cannabis products, strains, and industry trends.
• Provide accurate and detailed information about the effects, potency, and benefits of different products.
• Participate in inventory sample trials.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product expiration dates.
• Report discrepancies or issues with inventory to the management team.

Store Maintenance:

• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store at all times.
• Assist with routine cleaning tasks and maintain a visually appealing retail space.
• Help with customer flow and store operations as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing of store duties

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service or retail experience, prior cannabis dispensary retail sales experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cannabis point of sale operating systems preferred
• Knowledge and passion for cannabis products and customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, and twist
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• At least achieved a high school diploma or equivalent.
